While season three of The Voice just kicked off last week, NBC has confirmed that Usher and Shakira will join the show as judges/coaches for season four!! Cee Lo Green is taking the spring season off to work on a sitcom based on his life, while Christina Aguilera will be absent due to her upcoming tour. "As I have expressed since Day One of the show ... I am a singer and performer first and I am so excited to get back to that love," Aguilera said.
Both Cee Lo and Aguilera are set to return for season five. Unless… ya know… Usher and Shakira bring in even bigger ratings!
What do you think? Great substitutes for season four?!

The Voice is back, and so is new music from Christina Aguilera! After the disappointing 2010 album Bionic, Xtina's new track "Your Body" sounds much, much better! The sexy, dance-ready jam was produced by Max Martin who has worked on many of Britney's biggest hits.
Give it a listen and let us know what YOU think! Aguilera's album Lotus drops in November.

It's drama time in the world of TV singing shows! With both The Voice and The X Factor premiering next week, NBC is apparently trying to sandbag Simon Cowell’s show by adding a Wednesday special! Simon says the two programs had a “gentleman’s agreement” that NBC would run The Voice Monday and Tuesday, and FOX would air The X Factor Wednesday and Thursday. Now the suits at the peacock network are making things ugly by adding a third show for their premiere week.
Cowell tells TMZ, “This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business.”
May the best show win!

While American Idol continues with its rumor mill, NBC's The Voice continues to make it clear which singing competition show reigns supreme! Adam Levine has announced that Mary J. Blige will assist in mentoring his team for the upcoming third season! Also, Blake Shelton has confirmed that Michael Buble will join his squad.
No word on whether Christina and Cee-Lo will also mix-up their advisors. The Voice premieres on September 10th at 8 pm, and I'm already excited!

Look at these cuties! They kinda have chemistry, no? Adam Levine is already shooting his acting debut in Can A Song Save Your Life? from the creator of Once. The Voice co-star Cee Lo Green also stars in the movie. There were rumors that Knightley didn't want to promote her last film Seeking A Friend At The End Of The World, but it looks like she was probably just too busy filming this one. Levine looks kinda funky in these glasses, but I'm willing to be on board for this movie as long as there's non-cheesy singing.

Everyone knows The Voice judges Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera didn't exactly hit it off during the first two seasons, but now the Maroon 5 frontman is clarifying the beef. Adam explains, "We bickered a little bit in the beginning, to be totally truthful, we had a little bit of a rough start, just kind of all getting to know each other. But I love her, she's the best, and we're having a fantastic time as of late on the set. She's great, and all of that is sensationalized media BS … so don't worry about any of that. It affects you as much as you let it. I mean, I know the deal, so as long as I do, it doesn't matter what people say. Think about if we listened to what people say all the time, imagine how crazy it would make you."
I dunnnno if I'm buying it. Think I'll have to watch a little of the 3rd season to see if you can still cut the tension between them with a knife!

Seriously, network TV?! Do we really need ANOTHER reality singing competition? American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, Duets, America's Got Talent (kinda), The Glee Project (sorta).
And who could forget The Sing Off? Well, plenty could which is why NBC canceled it after last season. BUT the network is announcing they're replacing it with another singing show called The Winner Is. This totally original show will pit singers against each other in one-on-one duels. The contestants will compete for a $1 million prize, but will have the option to cash out before they are eliminated, much like Deal or No Deal. OK, I'll admit that's a cool twist, but as for the rest of it: barf.

PS - What in the world was Christina Aguilera wearing? She looked redunkulous.

Hosted by Cat Deeley, a Fox suit says, "We wanted to put a new spin on the dating game show that gives celebrities 'the choice' of a lifetime and the chance to prove you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover.''
So original it sounds exactly like The Dating Game! Or Singled Out! Or Love Connection! Come on Fox, you ain't foolin' us!
