Will ratings for "The X Factor" & "The Voice" top "Idol's" this season?
Who didn't see this coming?! TMZ is reporting that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are already butting heads on American Idol. Proving there's only room for one diva, Idol insiders claim Mariah continually interrupted Nicki during the first taping over the weekend. Nicki combated Carey's interruptions by simply TALKING LOUDER and LOUDER! Says the spy, "These girls just don't like each other."

If that's really the case, it's gonna be crazy ANNOYING to watch this. Poor Keith Urban. What'd ya get yourself into?!

Did "American Idol" chose the right celebs for the new judge's panel?
It's official! Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Mariah Carey will be joining Randy Jackson on the American Idol judge's panel. Producers waited till the last minute choosing this panel, announcing it only hours before the first auditions in New York City. Sources tell Deadline Hollywood that "[Randy] Jackson is keeping his anchor spot as the last judge to speak, while Carey is positioned to open critiques." What do you think about this judge's panel? Peeps go freaky for Mariah Carey, but I bet her comments will be too nice. I am curious about what recent mega-sensation, Nicki Minaj will bring to this -- Nicki always plays to win.

Is Randy Jackson a neutral judge in that he doesn't help or hurt "Idol"?
Contrary to the rumors, Randy Jackson isn't going anywhere. After the gossip columns claimed he was let go by American Idol producers, the latest is that Jackson will return as a judge this season. So why all the confusion?! Because Idol execs couldn't get Enrique Iglesias to sign on the dotted line!

According to TMZ, Randy also wasn't too pleased when producers tried to transition him into a mentoring role on the show. And who can blame him? Dawg has been there since the beginning!

Does Ryan Seacrest get a say in who becomes an "Idol" judge?
Ryan Seacrest sold his Hollywood Hills home after two long years of trying. The home is stacked, it's got six bedroom, a wine cellar, a gym, screening room, and more. Seacrest had to lower the asking price by $4 million, selling the place for $11 million. That means Seacrest lost over $1 million on the deal. But there's no reason for Seacrest to worry, he's doing just fine with his bazillion TV and radio shows.

Is Simon Cowell the only judge that could turn around "American Idol"?
You know American Idol's in trouble when the most newsworthy stories coming from it are about judges. After JLo and Steven Tyler decided to leave (Were fired?), the big mystery was what would happen with Randy Jackson. But now, it appears the dawg days are over for RJ after 11 seasons of pitchy judging.

No word on who'll replace him, but rumor has it Idol producers are well aware that new judge Mariah Carey doesn't want it to be Nicki Minaj.

Do you wish Sacha Baron Cohen would drop his act while out in public?

He was joking, but I doubt Ryan Seacrest is happy about it! While appearing on the Howard Stern Show, funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen refused to drop his Dictator persona and tried to pi$$ off Ryan Seacrest once again (As if pelting him with the ashes of Kin Jong Il wasn't enough). Cohen told Stern "[Ryan Seacrest] apparently has an a$$hole like a collapsed mineshaft." HAHA! After the Oscars, Seacrest told press, "[Cohen comes] over to me, breaks character and says sorry about the Oscars, it wasn't personal." Uh... I'm guessing Seacrest made that one up...

Will "Idol's" ratings continue to decline unless they get a mean judge?
Now that he's off the show, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is ready to tell us how he really feels about American Idol. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Steven says, "I loved it and hated it. It was a great job, I sat next to J. Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life."

However, the downside was that producers apparently wanted Tyler to replace Simon Cowell as the show's mean judge. Tyler says, "They wanted me to take the piss out of the kids and I don't have that in me. That's not what I'm about. That's more about that other guy. Not me."

While I can totally understand Steven not wanting to be the mean judge, I'll admit it's painful to watch Idol anymore because the judges are way too positive!

Do you think Steven Tyler is leaving "Idol" because he was forced to?
It's rumor season at American Idol, but Steven Tyler isn't playing the JLo am I leaving? am I staying? game. Yesterday, the Aerosmith frontman announced he's leaving the show after two seasons. Releasing a statement through FOX, Tyler said, "After some long...hard...thoughts…I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit. I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back... Idol was over-the-top fun, and I loved every minute of it…Now it’s time to bring Rock Back."

Best of luck, Mr. Tyler! Looking forward to new Aerosmith for sure!!

Appearing this morning on TODAY, Jennifer Lopez seems ready to depart American Idol. Talking with Natalie Morales, JLo said, "It's a huge decision, but I have to say there are so many things I do that I put on hold for that. It's a heartbreaking decision if I have to go." She continued, "Little by little I'm making up my mind. I love everybody, I love the guys, but I am thinking it's time for me to go and do other things I love to do like films and journeys. But I'm torn. It's a tough decision."

Sounds like JLo is outta there! Is it time for fresh judges?

June 18, 2012 | 12:33 PM PDT

Filed under: Ryan Seacrest, CBS, Reality TV, New TV

While popular as an app, will a "Draw Something" TV show be boring?

The game's been downloaded more than 50 million times, so why not give it a game show?! CBS has just ordered Draw Something, a new game show based on the hit mobile timewaster that will feature celebs and contestants competing in front of a live audience to win cash and prizes. Viewers will also be able to play along from home. The show will be produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions (Who else?!) and Embassy Row (Peeps behind Bravo's Watch What Happens Live).

A game show based on a mobile app??? I dunnoooooo. Sounds like a lamer to me.
