Did you have a crush on Ron Howard when he was on "Happy Days"?
What a year for Bryce Dallas Howard! The 30-year-old The Village star appeared as a total bi@tch in two big awards season flicks: The Help and 50/50. Now, she and Fringe's Seth Gabel have a new member of their family!

Daughter Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel was born on January 19th weighing in at 8lbs 6oz. Bryce's famous father @RealRonHoward tweeted "Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear :-)"

Ugh, can't wait to see pics! Congrats Bryce, Seth, and little Theo!

Ron Howard & Daughter Bryce's Short Film

December 17, 2011 | 08:26 PM PST

Filed under: Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard, New Movies

Check out this stunning new short film produced by Ron Howard and directed by his daughter, The Help's Bryce Dallas Howard. The movie is called when you find me and it is based on 8 photos that won a Cannon photography contest. If you watch to the end, the credits show the photos the film was based on, and they were very faithful to the OG pics. But be careful y'all, it's a tear jerker. I'm totally crying into my egg nog (mostly rum).

Ron Howard Defends Gay Joke

Do you think Ron Howard should take "the gay joke" out of his new movie with Vince Vaughn?
Gay rights groups throughout the country were disappointed when they saw a trailer for the new Vince Vaughn movie directed by Ron Howard and Vince made a joke saying that electric cars are "gay." GLAAD said that Ron Howard and Universal Pictures were "contributing to the problem" by having this joke in the film, especially at a time when tolerance is such a hot-button issue. But Howard has decided to keep the joke in the film explaining that it makes sense for the character Vince Vaughn is playing.

"[Vaughn's character] has a mouth that sometimes gets him into trouble and he definitely flirts with the line of what's okay to say. He tries to do what's right, but sometimes falls short." I'm assuming when he refers to electric cars being "gay," this is a moment of him falling short!

Opie
adds "I don't strip my films of everything that i might personally find inappropriate...comedy or drama, I'm always trying to make choices that stir the audience in all kinds of ways. This Ronny Valentine character can be offensive and inappropriate at times and those traits are fundamental to his personality and the way our story works."

Well said, Ron! We forgive you...we think! What do you guys think?
