Move over, Seth MacFarlane - the Academy Awards are done with the risky host thing and are going back to a proven formula: Ellen DeGeneres. Announcing the news on Friday, Ellen said of hosting the awards show for a second time, "You know what they say - the third time's the charm. I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra!"

In a revealing new interview with Out magazine, 40-year-old Arrested Development actress Portia de Rossi opens up about why her and partner Ellen DeGeneres don't want to have kids. "There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, 'Am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love?' Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart? I didn't feel that my response was 'yes' to the latter. You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies."
While I respect their decision, I have to be honest: I woulda loved to see a little Portia/Ellen baby! Imagine the cuteness!

Seven years since it went off the air, Arrested Development is officially returning on May 26th via Netflix. All 15 new episodes will go live at 12:01 am on the 26th, giving long-waiting fans plenty of Bluth family madness to satisfy their longing.
Netflix says of the series, "The highly anticipated return of this show is sure to make history all over again.”
Agreed. Can't wait. Oh, but I don't subscribe to Netflix. Wah-wah.

Congrats Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi! Not only is Portia filming two new TV shows, but the couple is celebrating an anniversary, AND selling Brad Pitt's old house for a $1 million profit! Cha-CHING! Ellen and Portia bought the Malibu abode for $12 million and just sold it for a cool $13 million. That's less than a year, people! Ellen also recently sold her giant $49 million mansion to Ryan Seacrest in order to pick up a more small n' sexy place close by. We're sure Brad's not missing the million -- boy's loaded!

Ellen Degeneres has been a buying and selling queen! The millionaire talk show host recently sold her giant $49 million Beverly Hills home to Ryan Seacrest and bought Brad Pitt's Malibu home. But that's not all! Ellen just bought a 8,500 sq. ft. four bedroom home on one acre of land for only $18 million. Ellen & Portia also share a home in Santa Barbara. Besides comedy and wine, it looks like real estate is Ellen's passion!

Ellen Degeneres visited Brad Pitt in New Orleans this week to visit homes built for hurricane victims. Brad has been committed to building homes for families in need for 7 years since Katrina, when nearly 4,000 homes were destroyed. After visiting the 150 homes he helped build in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Pitt, Degeneres, and wife Portia de Rossi enjoyed a nice dinner out. Ugh, I'd have dinner with any one of them!

The show will likely return in a limited 10-episode or so run, and will serve as a bridge between the old series and the new film. Series narrator and producer Ron Howard says "Arrested always was about as unconventional as they get, so it seems totally appropriate that this show that broke the mold is smashing it to pieces once again." Great news!

The Portia De Rossi, Jason Bateman, and Michael Cera starring show will likely air in 2013. It will be on Showtime, or exclusively shown on Netflix.

The project is written by a Samantha Who? writer, and according to Deadline.com "is about dueling sisters, one of them played by de Rossi." Wait, I kind of love it already.
