Clint Eastwood Wants To Be Working At 105

April 29, 2013 | 10:00 AM PDT

Filed under: Clint Eastwood, Movies, Awards, Oscars

Did Clint Eastwood's Republican convention speech hurt his legacy?
Clint Eastwood has been working in Hollywood for decades. Dating back to the late 50s, Clint's been a staple in the movie industry, nominated for 11 Academy Awards and winning five. His name is synonymous with A-lister, but at 82 many have wondered if Eastwood would ever throw in the towel. Talking at the Tribeca Film Festival, Clint says, "It would be great to be 105 and still making films." A notion he calls "the ultimate optimism."

So, I guess Clint will retire at the age of 106. Luckily for us, that means we have 24 more years of Eastwood films!

Do you agree with Robery Downey Jr. that he's one of the best actors?
Not one for humility, Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. is opening up to GQ on what he thinks of his talent, and his odds at someday landing that first coveted Oscar. "I know it's going to happen," RDJ says of winning an Academy Award. "That's just a fact. I, personally, would be shocked if we went to the end of the tape now and I didn't have at least one." Downey goes on to proudly say that he's "one of the best actors" of his generation. "But it's not that big a deal. It's not like this is the greatest swath or generation of actors that has ever come down the pike." Tell us how you really feel.

Where do you stand on RDJ's skillz? One of our generation's best??

Did Will Smith turn down "Django" because of the racist content?

Most actors jump at the chance to star in a Quentin Tarantino film, so why did A-lister Will Smith pass on Django Unchained? The controversial topic matter? NOPE. He didn't think the role of the freed slave was the lead, so he turned it down.

"Django wasn't the lead, so it was like, I need to be the lead," Smith tells Entertainment Weekly. "The other character was the lead! I was like, 'No, Quentin, please, I need to kill the bad guy!'" Ironically, the character played by Christoph Waltz was considered a supporting actor for the Oscars. Despite turning down the role, Smith was a big fan of the film. "I thought it was brilliant. Just not for me."

Did Anne Hathaway need to apologize for her Oscar dress?

Last Sunday was a big night for Anne Hathaway. She took home her first Academy Award, winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Les Misérables. But while her first Oscar win should've been the main topic surrounding Anne, it wasn't… Nipplegate was. Her bosom refused to be unnoticed throughout the show.

Yesterday Hathaway issued an apology reading, "It came to my attention late Saturday night that there would be a dress worn to the Oscars that is remarkably similar to the Valentino I had intended to wear, and I decided it was best for all involved to change my plans. Though I love the dress I did wear, it was a difficult last-minute decision as I had so looked forward to wearing Valentino in honor of the deep and meaningful relationship I have enjoyed with the house and with Valentino himself. I deeply regret any disappointment caused."

Was an apology needed?

Will the Oscars ever invite Seth MacFarlane back to host the show again?
Seth MacFarlane's known for being the guy behind Family Guy, American Dad!, The Cleveland Show, Ted, etc… not exactly high drama ya might expect from an Academy Awards host. So how'd the funnyman do last night? The reviews seem to be mixed.

His opening monologue aided by William Shatner fell flat, especially the "I saw your boobs" bit. However, a highlight was when MacFarlane showed off his voice by singing "The Way You Look Tonight" as Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum danced

Overall, I thought Seth was just OK. Definitely not the new Billy Crystal. What did YOU think?

Does Kristen Stewart have serious self-esteem issues?

Kristen Stewart is finally getting some support, but not from Robert Pattinson. Shocking everyone at the Academy Awards by hobbling in on crutches, Kristen reportedly cut her foot quite severely after accidentally stepping on glass. Presenting the Oscar for Production Design with Daniel Radcliffe, Stewart went sans crutches while on stage, and man was it NOT graceful.

Are you surprised "Argo" won Best Picture over "Lincoln" at the Oscars?

It's no secret that Hollywood loves themselves, so it makes sense that they'd pick a movie about movie making as Best Picture. Although he was snubbed for Best Director, Ben Affleck's Argo grabbed the top award at last night's Oscars. In addition to Best Picture, the flick also took home the Film Editing and Writing (Adapted Screenplay) awards.

As expected, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for Lincoln, while Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. For all the winners, click on the link!

Ethan Hawke Slams The Academy Awards

Are you more likely to watch a movie if it won an Oscar?

Tonight is the 85th Annual Academy Awards -- aka Hollywood's biggest night. It's where stars are born, legends cherished, and fashion celebrated and critiqued. But not all actors are fans of the event, including two-time nominee Ethan Hawke. In an interview with Gotham magazine Hawke says, "If you look at how many forgettable, stupid movies have won Oscars and how many mediocre performers have Oscars above their fireplace... Making a priority of chasing these fake carrots and money and dubious accolades, I think it's really destructive."

Aaaaaand I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ethan won't be winning an Oscar anytime soon ever!

Have Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson been back together for awhile?
They're both not nominated, but that hasn't kept Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson from attending Hollywood's biggest night in the past, so we gotta ask: if they go, will Kristen attend the Oscars with Rob?! KStew and RPatz have been rather silent on their troubled relationship ever since news of Stewart's scandalous affair with Rupert Sanders broke.

If they want a coming out party, this would be quite the event to do it at!
