Kelly Rowland & Paulina Rubio Join "X Factor"

Simon Cowell is gonna be outnumbered next fall, but I doubt he'll mind! With the departure of Britney Spears and L.A. Reid, Simon didn't waste anytime in filling the open spots. Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland (Who judged The X Factor U.K. in 2011) and Latin singer Paulina Rubio are joining the panel next to Simon and Demi Lovato.
Cowell says in a statement, "It's taken more than a decade, but I'm delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”
What do you think? Will Kelly and Paulina keep The X Factor relevant next to The Voice???

A rep for Carey says, "No, she did not lip-sync. She sang 3x and even sang additional songs for fans in between commercials."
What do you think? Did Mariah fake her performance on a show all about singing?!

This week The Simpsons spoofed the PBS series with a trailer for Simpton Abbey. Diddy also spoofed the show on Funny or Die, but that version contains just a few too many explicit lyrics words.

"Idol" Tried To Replace Mariah With JLo?!
April 25, 2013 | 07:00 AM PDT
Filed under: Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, American Idol, FOX

It's no secret that this season of American Idol has been its worst. The talent has been subpar (In my opinion) and the judges have been absolutely pathetic (Again, my opinion). You might disagree, but the ratings don't -- they're in a steep decline. Rumors have surfaced that Idol producers actually tried to replace Mariah Carey with Jennifer Lopez midseason!
The Hollywood Reporter says Carey's legal team threatened a lawsuit when they uncovered the news, and FOX producers quickly dropped the plan. However, they're still trying to bring in JLo for the finale this May.
Wow.

"Glee" School Shooting Episode: Too Soon?
April 12, 2013 | 10:00 AM PDT
Filed under: Glee, Ryan Murphy, NEWS, FOX, New TV

It's been less than four months since the Sandy Hook tragedy left 27 dead in Newtown, Connecticut. So understandably, many are upset at Glee's episode last night after it depicted a shooter at McKinley High. The episode began with a disclaimer reading, "This episode of Glee addresses the topic of school violence. Viewer discretion is advised."
Newtown parents are saying the episode is too soon. One parent told NBC, "This close to the tragedy without any warning, I believe was inconsiderate." The Newton superintendent of schools issued a warning to parents regarding the show's content prior to its airing.
Where do you stand? It's important to educate ourselves on the dangers of school violence, but there's also an element of Glee dramatizing it for ratings…
"Arrested Development" Returns May 26!

Seven years since it went off the air, Arrested Development is officially returning on May 26th via Netflix. All 15 new episodes will go live at 12:01 am on the 26th, giving long-waiting fans plenty of Bluth family madness to satisfy their longing.
Netflix says of the series, "The highly anticipated return of this show is sure to make history all over again.”
Agreed. Can't wait. Oh, but I don't subscribe to Netflix. Wah-wah.
