Leslie Carter Dies At 25

February 01, 2012 | 04:01 PM PST

Filed under: Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys, Celebrity Deaths, Drug Addiction

Do you think Aaron and Nick Carter's sister died of a drug overdose?
Sad, sad, sad, sad!

Unfortunately, we learn ONCE AGAIN that rich people with drug addictions aren't immune to the terrible reprocutions of such a bad habit.

Today, Leslie Carter, the 25-year-old sister of Aaron and Nick Carter, was found dead in her home in upstate New York. The little lass was a pop singer herself and leaves behind a 10 month baby girl and husband Mike.

Everyone knows that the ENTIRE Carter family has struggled with addiction and faithfully watched the train wrecked-family duke it out during their E! reality series House of Carters.

The family hasn't spoken out about the cause of death, but it seems pretty obvious to us.... :(

The Voice star with the golden pipes, Christina Aguilera sang "At Last" at diva Etta James' funeral today. Girlfriend's impressive version of the iconic song garnered enthusiastic applause (Do we applaud at funerals? Yes? No?). Although the cheers and whistles could have been for Xtina's revealing top… can we get this in 3D???

Is Joe Paterno's scandal partially responsible for his health decline?
85-year-old former coach to Penn State's football team died yesterday morning. His family says in a statement, "He died as he lived. He fought hard until the end, stayed positive, thought only of others and constantly reminded everyone of how blessed his life had been." Joe was infamously fired after 46 years as coach for allegations that he turned a blind eye to sexual abuse. Paterno was diagnosed with lung cancer in November of 2011. Rest in peace, Joe...

Do you think O.J. Simpson committed murder in 1994?

That's the latest rumor, but the source of the rumor is more than fishy. National Enquirer's new cover claims Khloe Kardashian is the lovechild of O.J. Simpson and her mom Kris Jenner.

While the story sounds absolutely ludicrous, it wouldn't be all that surprising considering Kris has already admitted to having an affair. And since the Kardashian's father Robert was part of O.J.'s legal team and Kris was best friends with Nicole Brown Simpson before her 1994 murder, this could add up.

Sounds like a crazy thriller flick, but in Kardashian world it's just reality.

Is Catherine Zeta-Jones the next Elizabeth Taylor?

The passing of Elizabeth Taylor marked the end of an era...

March 23rd, 2011:
“My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world.” Elizabeth Taylor's son Michael Wilding

This morning, at the age of 79, famous film dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away from congestive heart failure in a Los Angeles hospital. As the first actress to be paid $1 million, Taylor was most famous for her roles in Cleopatra, Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. She is also very, very famous for her dedication to AIDS research. We're sure she's moon-walking her way through the pearly gates to one of her BFFs Michael Jackson, as we speak. She'll be missed!

Do you like Amy Winehouse's posthumous album "Lioness"?
It wasn't totally a surprise, but it was certainly shocking. Losing Amy Winehouse was probably the hardest celebrity news item to report this year. :( She will be remembered and forever missed!

July 23rd, 2011:

Singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home this morning. Police say "Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained." She was 27-years-old.

The troubled singer had been on and out of rehab for much of her adult life for alcohol and heroin. Her most recent stint was in May of this year.

Though no details are available at this time, a drug overdose is the suspected cause of death.

Earlier in the day, Amy's manager tweeted "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen." So sad.

2011 Recap: R.I.P. Nate Dogg & Heavy D

December 29, 2011 | 02:01 PM PST

Filed under: 2011 In Review, Celebrity Deaths

Was rap better in the 90s than it is today?

This year we lost two rap icons, Nate Dogg in March and more recently, Heavy D. Both changed the hip-hop industry, and will be forever missed. A look back at those sad days.

March 16, 2011
"16 in the clip and 1 in the hole. Nate Dogg is about to make some bodies turn cold!"

The bad @$$ mofo behind the sultry vocals in such jams as Warren G's "Regulate" and 50 Cent's "Have A Party," 41-year-old Nate Dogg, aka Nathaniel D. Hale, passed away yesterday afternoon. Although cause of death has yet to be determined, the Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips member has a long history of heart problems.

His longtime homeboy Snoop reached out this morning, saying: "We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day." Sad day in hip hop history, for sure :(

November 08, 2011
Rap legend, "Overweight lover" Heavy D, who nowadays was more just like your Average D, was found struggling at home this afternoon, mumbling and short of breath, when ambulances arrive. Sources reveal that the 44-year-old died on the rad to the hospital.

So far, cops are spraying that they believe that his death does not involve foul play and are currently at his home looking for other clues. The BOYZ front-man JUST performed at the beginning of this month for the MJ Tribute Concert! Sad to see him go!

2011 Recap: R.I.P. Ryan Dunn

December 27, 2011 | 02:00 PM PST

Filed under: 2011 In Review, MTV, Celebrity Deaths

Will MTV ever bring back the show "Jackass"?
Year in review recaps can be a fun way of looking back, but you've also got to look at the sad. And the world losing Ryan Dunn was certainly one of the most shocking and painful headlines from 2011.

"June 20, 2011
Took me over an hour to write this little diddle, due to major bummage and...just major bummage! After forming a die-hard teen crush on Ryan Dunn in high school thanks to looping and head-banging and looping his CKY flicks co-starring his BFF Bam Margera and tuning-in to his side-kicking with Knoxville on Jackass, this news is just totally sucky.

Last night, the 34-year-old stunt stud died after a fatal car crash in Pennsylvania. Although it is uncertain whether or not alcohol is to blame, the star, along with another passenger, were killed around 3am after their car crash and burst into flames. No news yet as to who was driving the car."

Of course, we later found out alcohol was involved and Ryan was driving his Porsche.
