Is Jodie Sweetin's nonexistent post "Full House" career surprising?
Jodie Sweetin was involved in a car accident back in March, and now she's suing the dude who hit her for more than $25,000! According to the lawsuit, the girl formerly known as Stephanie Tanner says she suffered not only damage to her vehicle, but also loss of wages and loss of "earning capacity."

Loss of wages??? What wages?! Loss of earning capacity? What capacity? You haven't worked in years!

How rude!!

Should people automatically lose their license after their first DUI?

Less than two weeks ago, 39-year-old NBA veteran Jason Kidd signed a three-year deal with the New York Knicks for $9.5 million. The 10-time all-star returns to the NYC area after spending five seasons in Dallas. Over the weekend, Kidd acted like a kid by partying a little too hardily out in the Hamptons. According to TMZ, Kidd was so intoxicated people carried the star out of the club, and pleaded with him not to drive (Um, pleaded? Stop him!). Less than an hour later, Jason drove his Escalade into a telephone pole. Kidd was arraigned on a DWI misdemeanor and later released by the Southampton Police.

Brilliant. Why do so many celebs fail to hire a $150 car serive?

Are concerts these days way too loud?
Ugh, not like I'm the biggest fan of Bieber lately, but these frivolous lawsuits are super unfair. Stacy Wilson Betts is suing the 18-year-old singer for $9.2 million for "unforeseen aspects of the show [that] exceeded safe decibel levels." Betts reportedly suffered from hearing loss, tinnitus, and hyperacusis from the show.

The funniest part of the suit is that it has nothing to do with Bieber's music or stage effects. Betts claims "[Bieber] climbed into a heart shaped, aluminum/steel gondola and was pulled over the crowd, [causing] a wave like effect of screaming [that] enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."

Deaf by Bieber mania.

Justin Bieber was pulled over for speeding on a Los Angeles freeway after a citizen called 911. That citizen happened to be LA City Councilman, Dennis Zine, who had no idea that Bieber was driving the car. He says "if I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac." The Biebs is coming unhinged!

Do you think accountants and lawyers routinely take advantage of celebs?
Filing a lawsuit in Manhattan yesterday, Rihanna is accusing her former accounting firm of gypping her out of "tens of millions of dollars" from her tours. RiRi says NY-based firm Berdon LLP and two of their accountants are responsible for shady bookkeeping, failing to recommend she trim expenses during a 2009 tour that was losing money, and responsible for her ongoing audit by the IRS.

The lawsuit alleges the firm paid itself 22% of total tour revenue, while paying Rihanna just 6%, a practice her lawyers say is unheard of.

Yikes. I'd be suing too.

Are you with Tom Cruise in thinking that psychiatry should be outlawed?
Well, this is only slightly very disturbing! According to the U.S. government, Dr. Drew Pinsky was bribed into prescribing an anti-depressant drug called Wellburtrin SR on his radio and television shows.

In a lawsuit against the drug company, the government says Dr. Drew was paid $275,000 to promote the drug on Loveline, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House, but never presented himself as a representative of the drug company that makes it.

Not sure what penalties Dr. Drew faces, but it sounds serious! If we can't trust our docs, who can we trust? And don't say the government… Ha! In all seriousness, this is PATHETIC Dr. Drew!

Is "The Notebook" just as good of a love story as "Romeo & Juliet"?
The 2004 film The Notebook is one of the greatest (And sappiest) love stories ever told, but R. Kelly says it inspired him to get a divorce. In his memoir Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, Kelly says the film made him understand his marriage of 12 years wasn't meant to last. "As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move. I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. The Notebook was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine's Day -- when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses -- that had come and gone ... My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back."

Aaaaaand all of a sudden I'm feeling sorry for R. Kelly? A hopeless romantic??

Should there be consequences for people who file false paternity cases?
I bet hip hop artist Rick Ross is breathing a sigh of relief today, even though he lost out at the BET Music awards.

Tyrisha Childers filed a paternity lawsuit against Ross saying he fathered her child three years ago. The court ordered a DNA test and lo and behold, Ross is not the father. This probably doesn't come as a surprise to Ross, because he claims he's never even hooked up with Childers.

Now, Childers has dismissed the case. The Teflon Don strikes again! Congrats!

When Lauryn Hill releases a comeback album, would you buy it?
Lauryn Hill appeared in court this week to explain why she didn't pay nearly $1.5 Million in taxes. She says "[Filing my taxes] only stopped when it was necessary to withdraw from society, in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of myself and my family." Lauryn explained that though she didn't pay her taxes, it was because she felt she had to withdraw from public view because she gelt her safety was at stake. Remember how Lauryn Hill is kind of a Diva? Diva plead guilty and will probably have to pay upwards of $75,000 in fines, which aint too bad for her. She could be facing up to a year in jail, but let's wait till sentencing before we even think about that!
