The world has found one person who thinks Amanda Bynes is mentally competent: her judge. The L.A. Superior Court announced this week at Amanda's mental health department hearing that she has been found mentally competent to stand trial for her 2012 DUI arrest.
The decision was based on the findings of a psychiatric report, and her attorney did not argue with the court's decision. Criminal proceedings are now reinstated, which means we could see Bynes for the first time in months in just a few short weeks.
Let's all hope she's doing much, much better.

Tom Cruise is a great actor, but in real life he struggles with his words. During his deposition for a $50 million lawsuit he filed against Life & Style, lawyers asked Cruise about the difficulty of his job. Cruise said the reason he doesn't see Suri as much as he would like is because acting is so difficult, and even compared it to fighting in Afghanistan. "That's what it feels like. And certainly on this last movie, it was brutal. It was brutal," Tom claims.
He's also more physically fit than an Olympian! Tom says, "There is difficult physical stamina and preparation. Sometimes I've spent months, a year, and sometimes two years preparing for a single film. A sprinter for the Olympics, they only have to run two races a day. When I'm shooting, I could potentially have to run 30, 40 races a day, day after day."
And he wonders why Katie left him?

Tom Cruise is finally ready to admit what we've all known since Katie Holmes filed for divorce in 2012: she did it to protect Suri from Scientology. Cruise, who is currently suing Life & Style for defamation after they claimed he abandoned Suri, admitted during the court deposition that he went 110 days without seeing his daughter after the divorce.
During the proceeding a lawyer asked if he thinks his religion played a role in the split. Tom said, "Listen, I find that question offensive." However, when asked if Katie ever indicated that she left him to protect Suri from Scientology, Cruise revealed, "Did she say that? That was one of the assertions, yes."

Ha. It'll take a behavioral rehab genius to solve the inner workings of this maniac! After he was arrested with misdemeanor assault in Washington, D.C. last weekend, longtime troubled star Chris Brown has checked into a Malibu facility to help deal with anger management issues. One insider tells E! News that Chris is a good guy, but needs help. "He keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that's when he always gets in trouble," the source reveals.
Brown is due back in court on November 25th for the D.C. incident. He faces up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. Plus, the L.A. court could revoke his probation from his 2009 felony assault on Rihanna.
Hoping he gets better. Feeling like he won't.
