It's odd that Hollywood has decided to take such outspoken sides when it comes to Precious star Gabourey Sidibe's weight: fist pumping saying "Rock on with your bad self!" while other point the finger of shame.
Well actor turned radio host, Jamie Foxx declared war against outspoken shock jock Howard Stern saying: "I hope that this feud gets us hot, because Howard hasn't really made a big splash in a long time."
And Howard couldn't care less! Stern who criticized Oprah's praise of Gabourey saying: “She’s telling an enormous woman the size of a planet that she’s going to have a career?!” responded to Foxx: "I'm not … gonna sit here and take it and listen to some bulls**t. Jamie's not a friend of mine." What do you think?

Howard Stern Defends His Harsh Words About Gabourey Sidibe's Weight

Howard Stern, who recently hosted the Tiger Woods Mistress Beauty Pageant, has been coming under fire for slamming Gabourey Sidibe’s weight, saying that she is too overweight to be healthy and that she will never get another role.
Well, she got another role in The Big C with Laura Linney (which we reported on earlier) and Howard still doesn’t think he’s said anything wrong, claiming that if Gabourey doesn’t take the weight off she’ll likely end up sick or dead! Eek!
Howard has some valid point, and is always known for bringing-up the elephant in the room, but we think he’s perhaps being a tad too harsh. We love Gabourey and don’t think she should listen to Howard!

Sidibe will play a classmate to Laura Linney, who's character, after being diagnosed with cancer, changes her life around.
The Big C should begin airing before the end of 2010, and with a line-up of ladies like that, we all know it's going to be a tear jerker/super good/dramatic/can't be missed series! Whoop!

The biggest outbreak star of 2009/2010, Precious PYT Gabourey Sidibe has already promised her extra Oscar invite to her subway singing mama, but there was another famous female vying for the opportunity to walk with the 26-year-old "Best Actress" nominee...OPRAH!
People Mag caught the cutie this week at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon and the actress said Oprah called to ask: "'Hey girl, do you want to ride together?' I was like, 'I got it Oprah, calm down. I don't want to show up with you. People will think we're too cool."
"When I meet people I get used to them very quickly because everyone seems like a friend because I watch them on TV. But Oprah is the only one I can't get used to."
I would feel the exact same way girl!

It’s your night girl!!! First time Oscar nominee, heck, first time ACTRESS Gabourey Sidibe wants everything to be perfect for her monumental Hollywood night. And no doubt every designer wants her to wear their dress because the newcomer is bound to get lots and lots and lots of screentime.
"We've been offered dresses by all these huge designers," the 26-year-old’s stylist Linda Medvene told USA Today.
If she beats out Julie & Julia’s Meryl Streep and The Blind Side’s Sandra Bullock, then this dress could be one we remember forever!!!! (How exciting!)
Unfortunately, her stylist is mums-the-word on Gabby’s sure to be sexy threads, so we’ll have to wait till Oscar night! Wah-wahhh…

Gabourey Sidibe's Mother Sings In Subway

Precious star Gabourey Sidibe is up for a "Best Actress" Oscar for her role in Precious as her mother Alice Tan Ridley continues to sing soul in the Times Square and Penn Station subways of New York City.
Ridley previously worked as a teacher and teacher's aide before quitting to focus on her singing. "For a while, I was teaching and doing the singing, burning the candle at both ends to support my family," she told the NY Post, but now earns plenty of money, "to pay my bills and feed my kids."
Ridley has traveled all over the world to sing and despite having many offers to move her gig to the clubs, prefers the underground. Ridley was EVEN offered the role to play Gabourey's mother in Precious, but turned it down! Wowee!
