If you were diagnosed with a bad disease, would you tell your friends?
Just five years ago Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts beat breast cancer, and now the 51-year-old has announced she's been diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called MDS, or myeloid spastic syndrome. Through tears she said on Monday, "I am going to beat this." Beginning treatment today, Roberts told viewers, "I didn't want you to be concerned if you see a bandage tomorrow." Robin will be given "drugs… for a period of time… to prepare me for a bone marrow transplant."

So sad, but Robin's got the fight in her to beat it. ABC will be fighting with her according to network prezzy Ben Sherwood. He says ABC will stand "arm in arm with her as she fights this new battle," and calls Robin the "captain of our GMA team."
