Is Sacha Baron Cohen's work more offensive than funny anymore?

George Clooney to Steve-O to a fictitious character played by Sacha Baron Cohen. Wow, Elisabetta Canalis is on a serious downward spiral.

Kicking off the Cannes Film Festival, the Italian actress took part in a publicity stunt for The Dictator, Cohen's new comedy about ruthless leader General Aladeen. After oiling each other up with sun tan lotion, Sacha became enraged when Elisabetta didn't accept his advances. He then had his security escort her underneath the deck, and when they emerged they dumped a black body bag into the ocean.

OK. I guess murder-drownings are funny? I suppose that isn't too offensive considering the film makes several rape jokes and praises former North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il. Not.funny.
